Blue Foundation, the famous Danish electronic duo known for its fusion of dream pop, shoegaze, and atmospheric electronics, is set to release its highly anticipated new album, Close to the Knife. Over the past three years, Bo Rande and Tobias Wilner, the driving forces behind Blue Foundation, have created a soundscape that merges the ethereal qualities of dream pop with the introspective mood of shoegaze and the experimental side of electronic music. Close to the Knife builds on their signature atmospheric style while adding new layers of complexity and depth. The album features lush, melancholic soundscapes paired with haunting vocals, performed by Tobias Wilner and Nina Larsen, as well as Scarlet Rae, Helena Gao, and Sonya Kitchell. The emotional intensity and intricate production are comparable to the introspective atmospheres of bands like The Fall, while the sonic journey is enriched by contributions from prominent musicians, including Xie Yugang from the Chinese experimental noise group Wang Wen, and drummer Federico Ughi, who lends his expertise to several tracks.
