Bitterviper is the fertile collision of four major figures in experimental music: Nikos Veliotis (cello), Taku Unami (synthesizer), Sarah Hennies (percussion), and David Grubbs (guitar, piano). Together, they weave a sonic labyrinth where acoustic textures, electronic intrusions, and suspended silences intertwine with precision and audacity. Born from a remote exchange – from Athens to Tokyo – this first album is a dense, unpredictable, and radically free work. Each member leaves their mark while merging into a unique collective sound entity. Rhythmic minimalism, microtonal resonances, and shifting mental landscapes make Bitterviper a statement of intent as much as an infinite field of exploration.
