UNDERCURRENT/180g Audiophile Blue Vinyl

Description

Bill Evans and Jim Hall recorded together for the first time in July 1959 during the recording of John Lewis's album, Odds Against Tomorrow.
The two musicians also participated in Gunther Schuller's album Jazz Abstractions (recorded in December 1960). However, these were big band albums and left no room for true interaction between the pianist and the guitarist. Undercurrent, which features them as a duo, is their third studio meeting and one of their most rewarding collaborations.
