Treasures is a true discovery, coming from the private collection of Norwegian jazz musician Ole Matthiessen, which is being released for the first time as a deluxe 2 CD box set. The 52-page booklet features previously unseen photos taken by Jan Persson during Evans' Danish tours, as well as explanatory notes by Marc Myers, author, journalist, and Evans specialist, and interviews and statements from Danish drummer Alex Riel, music journalist, Danish producer and Evans discographer Peter Larsen, Palle Mikkelborg, long-time companions of Evans' trio - bassist Eddie Gomez and drummer Marty Morell, and pianists Ran Blake and Matthew Shipp.
