Eighteen Hours Of Static

Description

Here’s what 2014 looked like: the cold, hurried walk down Montrose L Avenue to the entrance of the ground floor at 20 Meadow Street, an address you will never quite remember. The steep and cautious climb to the top of the nondescript building, where Patrick Stickles of Titus Andronicus was waiting to take your money in a ball and stamp the inside of your wrist. Standing under that shredded cardboard punk banner, draped with tangled twinkling lights, while Joe Galarraga, the leader of Big Ups, slowly and menacingly wrapped a microphone cable around his fist. Then a sharp F# burst forth from Amar Lal's guitar, shaking Shea Stadium to life.
