Stephen Wilkinson has just announced a new album from Bibio, his tenth overall, with the clever title "BIB10." "My influences for studio production mainly come from the 60s, 70s, and 80s when the craft was very different - achieving a more refined sound, without losing humanity, was part of the philosophy," Bibio said in a statement. He adds, "I've become more obsessed than ever with guitars in recent years, particularly vintage guitars. This album is an ode to the guitar in a very different way, with the guitars serving more as building blocks of a larger structure, and the subtle variations and differences in tone and color of each guitar make the album more nuanced. I don't consider it a guitar album per se, but I think the foundation of all the tracks is the guitar."
