The duo formed by Adèle Trottier-Rivard and Nicolas Basque explores emotional and physical territories, overcoming obstacles with intense, raw, and compassionate radicality. A former member of Canada's very first all-girls scout group, Les Guides, Adèle reconnects with the values that shaped her: courage, perseverance, sisterhood, friendship. The years spent in this community, discovering nature and developing intense relationships, are part of her identity and nourish her writing, leading to the creation of Feu de garde, the second album by Bibi Club. The influence of Moondog, Stereolab, and, more than ever, Suicide is felt in the album's direct and unique approach, which also features group chants inspired by the guides' outings in the forest. Hard things become magical when the duo transforms them into lyrics. The concrete dust filling the city's air turns into bright sparks that revive the joy of childhood.
