"Ils Veulent Nous Tuer" is the 3rd 45 rpm maxi single by Bérurier Noir, its title taken from the slogan on a banner unfurled by the mutineers from the roof of Fresnes prison. A record with a title that was also fated for the band, since at the time of its release, the political and police authorities decided to destabilize them by linking them to the activists of Black War and carrying out numerous arrests and interrogations around the Bérus. A dark record, with harsh lyrics rooted in the social reality of the time (1988), addressing subjects as varied as the problems of access to food for the precarious (On A Faim !), prison repression (Sur Les Toits), the excesses of marginalized youth (Mineurs En Danger), and the omnipresence of military and police forces in our daily lives (Et Hop !). The record also includes a re-recording of Nuit Apache (already present on the album Abracadaboum, like Et Hop !) in a supercharged version, and an instrumental (La Marche Funèbre de la Jeunesse Suicidaire) that closes side B.
