"For this record, I wanted light and softness," confides Bertrand Louis, who is no stranger to this. Author, composer, director, arranger, and performer, he has already recorded six albums. Whether he performs his own songs or sets to music works by Houellebecq, Philippe Muray, and more recently Baudelaire, he has been awarded both a Félix Leclerc prize and two Coup de cœur awards from the Charles Cros Academy. For this seventh opus, Bertrand Louis, who played the piano parts himself, entrusted the album's production to the eclectic musician Laurent Bardainne (Poni Hoax, Limousine, Tigre d'Eau Douce, Miossec, Camelia Jordana...), accompanied by bassist Marcello Giuliani (Erik Truffaz, Etienne Daho...) and drummer David Aknin (Limousine, Jain...). Singer and actress Mareva Galanter also lends her voice on two tracks. The result sounds like music imported from the seventies but brought up to date; one sometimes thinks of William Sheller, and this is yet another new facet of the singer that we discover here.
