After releasing "Pity Party", Bergmann is set to unveil "No Curfew", her first album with a well-assumed RNB90s vibe. Bergmann is part of an era of artistic eclecticism, and in her work, where pop ambition dominates, you can hear soul, R'n'B, reggaeton, and synthetic sounds. For the groovy, sentimental, and pulsating No Curfew, she surrounded herself with a dream team: director Florent Livet (Bloc Party, Lous & the Yakuzas, Tshegue...), composers Polérik Rouvière (AWA), Pavle Kovacevic (Sébastien Tellier), or even Louis Dureau and Guillaume Zolnierowski (Aloïse Sauvage, Tsew the kid, S2Keyz...): "My trust in men, and in men in music, has been restored. Without them, I probably wouldn't have dared to make this album. They reassured me that we must work with men and not against them." Thus, nourished by the rock, soul, reggaeton, and trip hop that Bergmann listens to—equally a fan of Richard Cocciante as of Portishead, Lykke Li, Rihanna, or Frank Ocean—No Curfew heals wounds and drops beats. "Heal the little girl to become the woman," Bergmann says. An album as a sonic coming-of-age story, rich in hypnotic variations, where you dance and are moved.
