Originally scheduled for 08/12 To celebrate Contemporary Records' 70th anniversary, the famous West Coast jazz label is releasing a new edition of the album 'Jazz Giant' as part of its Acoustic Sounds series. Saxophonist Benny Carter is accompanied by André Previn (piano), Barney Kessel (guitar), Shelly Manne (drums) and Ben Webster (saxophone). First released in 1958 and recorded by legendary engineer Roy DuNann, this new edition features all-analogue mastering from the original tapes by Bernie Grundman.
