Two years after his triumphant Grand Prix, crowned with a platinum record and a double Victoire de la Musique (male artist and album of the year), Benjamin Biolay releases this year the tenth album of his exemplary discography, beautifully begun two decades ago with Rose Kennedy (2001). A symbolic milestone for this songwriter-performer as brilliant as he is prolific, as exciting as he is insatiable, who set off at full speed barely after his national tour was completed under public acclaim. "This is the first time in my career that I record an album without the slightest hint of a plug-in or programming," he states at the outset to present Saint-Clair, a title largely inspired by the time spent in Sète since his earliest childhood. To achieve this, BB worked in a tight-knit team, with three musicians from his tour: Pierre Jaconelli (guitars, bass), Johan Dalgaard (keyboards), and Philippe Entressangle (drums). This willingly reduced formation allowed him to focus on the essentials: alternating dance tracks and moving ballads on a rich album of seventeen tracks, where he gives you goosebumps by recounting his life in definitive songs.
