Ben Wendel presents his new studio album adapted from his successful video series. Nominated for Grammy Awards and co-leader of the band Kneebody, saxophonist Ben Wendel releases his studio album adapted from his successful YouTube video series, The Seasons, praised by the New York Times as a "remarkable album of 2015" although it was not actually an album project at first glance. Inspired by Tchaikovsky's compositions, each track is dedicated to a month of the year and to an artist who helped inspire Ben Wendel's creative vision. The Seasons is not just a representation of the passing time; it is also a beautiful indicator of how technology has changed the ways artists communicate their art. In this project recorded in 2018 in the studio, Ben Wendel adapted each duo into pieces for quintet. He is accompanied by Aaron Parks (piano), Matt Brewer (double bass), Gilad Hekselman (guitar), and Eric Harland (drums).
