Beirut returns to its roots with the new album Gallipoli, recorded in New York, Italy, and Berlin. This album came to life in Zach Condon's mind when he got his hands back on his Farfisa organ, the instrument on which he had written most of the songs for his first album Gulag Orkestar in 2006 and his second, The Flying Club Cup, in 2007. Three years after their last album, No No No, Beirut returns with the brassy sounds characteristic of their early work. Gallipoli is yet another musical journey through numerous musical influences that should delight all fans of the band.
