Outlander: season 4 (original television soundtrack)

Description

Once again, the award-winning television series Outlander has enlisted the services of the acclaimed composer Bear McCreary to score season 4. This season sees its protagonists Claire Fraser and Jamie Fraser travel to the new world to establish a home despite a hostile and dangerous environment. While the bagpipes that contributed to the success of the music in the series are present, this new soundtrack takes advantage of the new setting to reinvent itself by incorporating numerous elements from folk, country, and Americana, as seen in the reimagined version of the famous theme of the series, "The Skye Boat Song," here in its Appalachian version. Bear McCreary has also introduced tribal sounds, using drums and traditional Native American chants. In short, once again, this soundtrack is a must for fans of the series as well as for lovers of travel (through time!).
