After the reissue of 'Hex' in late 2017, Fire Records is reissuing Bark Psychosis's second studio album '///Codename: Dustsucker' (2004), "which finds the band in remarkable form" (Pitchfork). Arriving ten years after the band's dissolution, this long-awaited and criminally overlooked follow-up brings with it an evolution of their sound. Their experiments are layered with blissful electronics, while shoegaze, post-rock, and jazz remain at the forefront, along with Sutton's crystalline voice. Languorous and dark, the soundscapes are somber and sustained, while their "characteristic cocoon of clear, undulating guitar figures and jazzy embellishments is shaken by sharp left turns" (Uncut). Recorded at Graham Sutton's DustSuckerSound studio in East London between 1999 and 2004, it features contributions from Lee Harris, the drummer of Talk Talk, and found drumming from former band member Mark Simnett. Bark Psychosis's '///Codename: Dustsucker' will be their last studio album.
