Affliction

Description

Known for having been part of the groups Guilty Pleasures and especially The Ponys, Jared Gummere is undeniably one of the best songwriters of his generation, having influenced Jay Reatard and the current Brooklyn scene in general. For his new project Bare Mutants, he surrounds himself with the cream of Chicago: Seth Bohn of Mannequin Men on bass, Jeanine O'Toole of 1900s on backing vocals and tambourine, Matt Holland on drums, and Leslie Deckard on organ. Bare Mutants brings together all of Gummere’s repertoire and creates a wall of sound full of raw, intense, and vivid emotion. Heavenly grooves that will have the effect of putting anyone into a trance.
