Dis quand reviendras-tu ?

Description

Sa engaged poetry, the melodic beauty of her compositions and the depth of the emotion conveyed by her voice earned her an audience that followed her for forty years. Many of her songs have become classics of French chanson!
This double CD highlights her early years, at a time when she was nicknamed « the Midnight Singer » by the students of the Latin Quarter. She recorded her first records and notably her first 33 rpm album (Barbara à L'Écluse). In 1960, she covered Brassens and Brel and received the Académie Charles-Cros prize in the category « Best Performer ».
To pay her a new tribute, EPM has brought together 47 tracks from the beginning of her career (including » Dis quand reviendras-tu ( with François Rauber ) as we are about to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her passing.
