CHRISTMAS SOUL

Description

For more than thirty years now, Barbara Dennerlein has been making Hammond B3 organs swing all over the world! Just take a look at her videos on YouTube to realize that they have been viewed millions of times. She is now among the first artists to join the MPS label roster and the signatures recently reactivated by Edel. With contagious good cheer and an uplifting pop-jazz-funk-soul cocktail, the jazzwoman joins the long list of artists who have performed the greatest Christmas themes and songs. Produced by Nicola Conte, "Christmas Soul" brings together a sparkling group - including Magnus Lindgren as one of its prominent members - that swings with reminiscences of Tamla-Motown. With one foot anchored in tradition and respect for these timeless themes ("Silent Night", "Sleigh Ride", "Blue Christmas", "Christmas Song", etc.), the organist injects a good dose of freshness, inventiveness and modern groove into these famous tracks known the world over.
