Recorded during the band's European tour in late 2025 and their Flesh & Soul tour, then re-recorded and refined with the precision of a studio, Transmutations captures BALTHVS's relentless energy on stage without sacrificing an ounce of sound clarity. It is neither a conventional live album nor a studio record, but a testament to a transformation: extended jams, raw Latin rhythms, live improvisation, and reimagined classics, alchemized to give birth to something entirely new. Divided into two sets, the trio - composed of Balthazar Aguirre (guitar, vocals), Johanna Mercuriana (bass, vocals), and Santiago Lizcano (drums, vocals), accompanied by Vanessa Munoz - navigates through hypnotic fusions like "LSD In Bahia," the very danceable "Mood Swing," and "Shakedown Street," their love letter to the Grateful Dead, the band that BALTHVS cites as their fundamental influence.
