Complex Emotions

Description

The return of The Bad Plus: new jazz forever! The Bad Plus has taken a bold step forward with Complex Emotions, their second album as a quartet. After redefining their sound for 21 years, founding members Reid Anderson and Dave King expanded the group by recruiting guitarist Ben Monder and saxophonist Chris Speed. This new lineup has unlocked new creative possibilities, fully explored on Complex Emotions. The album title, drawn from an expression long used by Anderson and King, reflects the varied musical explorations that have defined the band’s journey. By choosing this title, The Bad Plus signals that the reconfigured group has discovered new depths in its creative potential.
