"Rock for Light," Bad Brains' second studio album, was released in 1983. It was produced by Ric Ocasek (The Cars). We are proud to present, for the first time in decades, the original mix of the album, as the band intended. Most fans are more familiar with the 1991 reissue, remixed by Ocasek and bassist Darryl Jenifer. This version featured an altered track order, noticeably different mixes, and an accelerated master, resulting in a half-step key increase. The audio has been remastered by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering in Los Angeles. This "Punk Note" edition features alternative artwork designed by graphic artist John Yates (Stealworks). This artwork pays homage to Reid Miles and Francis Wol, and their remarkable work at Blue Note.
