Rose
Description
To write and compose the soundtrack for Rose, I dug into my memories, into my DNA. I wanted to build music that evokes for me the softness, the languor, the warmth, the richness of the music from my Tunisian and Middle Eastern roots. I wrote lyrics in Hebrew, Arabic and Italian with the means at hand, I sing with my fragile accent, but this intimate journey was so important to me, I wanted to reconnect with my story. To help me orchestrate some of the tracks on the soundtrack, I called on Thomas Feterman of La Caravane Passe, who is a versatile, sensitive and so talented musician. The pianos are by Gaël Rakotondrabe, a wonderful jazz pianist. The strings are conducted by Mokrane Adlani, and on darbouka there is Amar Chaoui.
