Formed in Liverpool in 1998, Atomic Kitten became a dynamic girl pop group created by Andy McCluskey and Stuart Kershaw of Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD). The original trio included Liz McClarnon, Natasha Hamilton, and Kerry Katona. Just a few weeks before the release of their hit single "Whole Again," Katona left and was replaced by Jenny Frost, a decisive change that coincided with the group's meteoric rise. "Whole Again" climbed to the top of the UK Singles Chart in 2000 and dominated the charts in 18 other countries, solidifying Atomic Kitten's global appeal. Their next single, "Eternal Flame," a cover of the 1989 hit by the Bangles, became their second number one in the UK and New Zealand, performing strongly in international charts. Originally released in 2000, their first album Right Now was partially re-recorded after Frost's arrival. The revamped edition included three new tracks: "Eternal Flame," "Tomorrow and Tonight," and "You Are." Jenny Frost's vocals were also added to updated versions of "Right Now," "Whole Again," "Hippy," and "Bye Now." To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the reimagined album reached number one in the UK, achieving double platinum certification in 2001. Right Now is available for the first time on vinyl and includes an insert with credits.
