Starting off with a bang with the first single "Cocoon", Kablammo! marks the big return of the English power pop band Ash, 8 years after their last album Twilight Of The Innocents. The title alone - Kablammo! (equivalent to the sound Boom!) - sums up the excitement Ash felt playing together again, this enthusiasm being felt throughout the 12 tracks on the album. "It's pure Ash in top form!" says drummer Rick McMurray. "Walls of guitars with adrenaline shots mixed with sweet melodies." From "Cocoon", to the epic "Free" and "Moondust", Ash has rediscovered that punk teenage side with a touch of 90's nostalgia that makes you want to raise your pint in the air. "We've finally bridged the gap between our concerts and our albums," says the band. Kablammo! is proof of that.
