Kervran

Description

An unclassifiable artist, she invited singer Bertrand Belin and actress Yolande Moreau on her first album. A few years later, she could be a synthesis of these two poetries, the elegance and sharp poetry of the former, and the boisterous generosity and deeply human quality of the latter. Her new album, Kervran, is an intimate dive into the psyche of this punk rock Henri Michaux. It speaks of the diagonals of emptiness, the various upheavals of life, the calm moments, and the wonders. Produced by Katel, with the collaboration of Julie Gasnier and long-time accomplice Antoine Sahler, this album alternates between rock urgency and poetic flashes, culminating in a piano and voice that flirts with early 20th-century French music.
