We left Anna Aaron a few months ago in the sylvan and telluric environment of "Dogs In Spirit." A world of inner turmoil, primordial pulsations, and mystical contemplations. A debut album of breathtaking power, showcasing a talent of blinding clarity, which gave Anna Aaron a unique aura on the Swiss scene, almost venomously beautiful. Today, the Basel-based singer returns from the woods with "Neuro," on the edge of a universe that is still as haunted, dense, dark, and tortuous as ever. But while her vocal and melodic signature remain, like the sovereign piano, Anna Aaron has managed to grow artistically around these magnetic poles, and beyond the enormous expectations resting on her shoulders. Beautifully produced by David Kosten (Bat For Lashes) and featuring the drumming of Jason Cooper (The Cure drummer) and the instrumental mastery of Ben Christophers (Bat For Lashes), "Neuro" explores uncharted territories, where the organic becomes immaterial, and questions the boundaries of perception. "Before, everything that wasn't physical was spiritual. Today, everything that isn't physical is digital. It's almost as if the digital universe has its own mystique," she explains. Anna Aaron has made this her creative ground, and the songs have grown, almost on their own, brimming with a new fluidity.
