Fou !

Description

Ange is undoubtedly the most popular progressive rock band in France. Their music is built on the typical and melodramatic singing of the whimsical Christian Decamps, the powerful sounds of the organ played by his brother Francis Decamps, as well as the development of medieval, energetic, and feverish themes. The band invented its own style, both epic and delirious, blending madness, emotions, and heightened feelings. While Ange continues its wild journey today, with the not-so-distant goal of reaching half a century of existence, its golden period remains undeniably the 1970s. It is with surprise that we rediscover today how unjustly the following decade was overlooked! With no ambition to match the absolute masterpieces that are "Au-Delà Du Délire" (1974), "Emile Jacotey" (1975), or "Par Les Fils De Mandrin" (1976), ANGE preferred to inject new blood into its lineup and musical accessibility. Without sacrificing its lyricism and unbridled imagination. This approach is quite similar to that followed by Genesis or Yes at the same time, with the excellent "Genesis" and "90125," both released in 1983. It had been almost twenty years since these two albums had left the shelves: please welcome now, with the grandeur they deserve, the highly anticipated Musea reissues of "Fou!" (1984) and "Egna" (1986)!
