Bill Orcutt reflects on the beginnings of his journey with Recorded in Miami, a recording by the duo Watt featuring drummer Tim Koffley from the turn of the 1990s. Captured in various locations in Miami on a minimal budget, the album captures an evolving American underground scene, blending post-hardcore, noise rock, and post-punk structures that were still very much present in the DNA of the independent music of the time.
