With "Intimate", Andrea Motis promises a soft and intimate musical conversation. For her first album with Elemental Music, the Jazz singer, trumpeter and composer, Andrea Motis, reveals her most delicate and refined side, placing her voice at the center, while integrating discreet trumpet lines within an intimate acoustic setting. Recorded between Barcelona, Rio de Janeiro and Montoliu de Segarra, and mastered by Alex Wharton at Abbey Road Studios in London, Intimate unfolds through elegant dialogues between voice, guitar, and on some tracks, the lyrical cello of Jaques Morelenbaum. This album navigates between languages and traditions, blending jazz standards, folk songs, bossa nova and French chanson by reinterpreting works by Amy Winehouse, Chico Buarque, Bill Withers and Georges Brassens, in addition to her original compositions. Highly appreciated in France, she has performed in various settings, clubs and festivals, notably at a concert at the Café de la Danse in Paris and at the Orange Jazz Festival.
