Description

Arches, the first part of the diptych Arches/Cluster, is an album that revolves around a church organ, a drum machine, and divine harmonies. The album, recorded in the Saint-Jacques church in Ghent, strikes with its - excuse the little - organic live sound, which once again highlights the signature of producer Koen Gisen. It directly bridges atmospheric and anachronistic ambient music punctuated by references to the Renaissance on one hand, and 1980s pop on the other. A passionate and sensual music, with surprising and communicative emotions. "It is above all a sensual album," confides AN PIERLÉ. "The transposition of a multitude of confused feelings onto a pop record. Love, agitation, but also indignation and anger, it's true. Feelings that are not systematically linked to things that only happen close to home."
