Sirenas: the new sensory odyssey by Allah-Las. On Sirenas, the Los Angeles quartet Allah-Las explores psychic landscapes through atmospheric instrumental storytelling. The band's sixth album crystallizes around a more spontaneous sound universe, shaped by free experimentation, intuitive vibrations, and open moments, both inward and outward looking. Channeling a flow of influences ranging from The Durutti Column, I.A.O. and soundtracks of Popol Vuh for Werner Herzog, to the exploration of Jacques Cousteau's World of Silence beneath the ocean's surface, Sirenas meditates on subconscious grooves, vaguely sketched but deeply felt, thereby opening up previously unsuspected pathways.
