New album of old songs and important tracks from his life. It was last autumn, after several very busy seasons, that Albin de la Simone felt the need to be alone; to face himself. Locked away in the Villa Medici, he finished writing his book, then revisited and recorded some of his early songs, which were more serene, more sensual. He had fun revisiting some of his early songs like "Je te manque", "Avril 4000" or "Non merci" (2005), and noticed that he was giving them something he hadn't seen at the time. He inhabited them in a new way. This was followed by other important songs from his life such as Michel Legrand's sublime "Valse des lilas" or Johnny Hallyday's "Ma gueule". 10 gentle and touching tracks that perfectly accompany the release of his upcoming book "Mes battements" published by Actes Sud.
