Description

A message of love and joy seems to permeate this fourth album from the Milanese band. Compared to previous works, the essential characteristics of their sound remain a powerful rhythmic foundation and prestigious polyrhythmic dynamics; however, all of this now approaches the striking accents of ancestral jazz. Essentially, The Faryds remarkably absorb and reshape the unique elements and influences of certain 70s Electric Jazz or Rock-Jazz Blues (Miles Davis, Dr John, Graham Bond, Jeremy Steig) and Spiritual Jazz (Sun Ra, Pharoah Sanders, Don Cherry, Brother Ah), marrying them with the highlights of certain Afro-Free (Pyramids, Alkebu-Lan) and the most Freak-Jam intrigues typical of Space Rock.
