Valérie Chane-tef, pianist-composer-singer, born on the island of La Réunion, is the origin of this trio. A recognized formation in the Aquitaine region, Akoda has existed for 7 years and has evolved over time with different formats, but it is as a trio that Valérie has found the very essence of her compositions for the past 3 years. Her music is a reflection of the cultural heritage she has received and the imprint of the Caribbean and Cuban cultures she has fallen in love with for years. A jazz musician, she loves simple and catchy melodies that stand out and leave a great deal of room for improvisation. Accompanied by two musicians adept at Afro-Caribbean grooves, Reunionese, and the colors of jazz, Valérie Chane-Tef offers a swaying music that she qualifies as Creole jazz.
