HABIBI FUNK releases its third outing with the reissue of tracks by AHMED MALEK, considered the Algerian Ennio Morricone. The German label has decided to focus its pursuit on this Algerian film music composer with a compilation of his soundtracks and some unreleased tracks provided by the musician's family. He composed for television shows, documentaries, and especially for cinema film scores. He was also interested in the use of new technologies in music (computer music, synthesis...), thus ensuring a link between traditional Algerian music and a more modernist trend. In this respect, he can be compared to the duo Rachid oua Fethi. Includes an 8-page booklet in the LP version or a 16-page booklet in the CD version. In both versions, you will find never-before-released tracks, archives, rare photos, and an interview with MALEK from 1978, as well as an introduction to Algerian cinema.
