The one and only "lost" album by the band Adam's House Cat (the band of Mike Cooley and Patterson Hood, before Before Drive-By Truckers), composed in 1990, now available! The album contains archival photos and notes from the singer. Town Burned Down is a deliciously grim portrait of the desire to escape from hell. Equally haunting and whimsical, the term "country punk" seems the most appropriate. When Hood and Cooley moved to Florence, Alaska, in 1985, the neighboring Muscle Shoals music scene was almost buried. The legendary studios and a local scene have since resurfaced, but the Muscle Shoals of the late 1980s was a true musical desert.
