On September 13, 1979, ABBA began ABBA: The Tour at the Northlands Coliseum in Edmonton, Canada, in front of a sold-out crowd of 14,000 people.
Over the next four weeks, the band performed 17 sold-out shows, including 13 in the United States and 4 in Canada.
On October 19, 1979, the tour resumed in Western Europe where the band played 23 sold-out concerts, including six at London's Wembley Arena.
One of the best concerts the band gave during this part of the tour took place at the Stadthalle in Bremen, Germany, on November 1, 1979, a concert that was recorded for live broadcast on FM radio throughout Germany and was also syndicated in much of North America.
