The Australian pop rock band, 5 Seconds Of Summer, made up of 4 friends (Luke, Ashton, Calum, Mickael), began their career by posting covers on YouTube. They were quickly spotted by the members of One Direction and were invited to open for them in 2013. After several sensational EPs that ranked high on the charts without any promotion, the band released a self-titled debut album in 2014 that sold over a million copies worldwide and was certified platinum in Canada, gold in the USA and UK. In 2014, it was the year of recognition for the band, which won, among other awards, the Best New Artist award at the American Music Awards and 3 MTV Europe Music Awards, including Best New Artist. Their second album "Sounds Good Feels Good" released in 2015 sold over a million copies worldwide and reached #1 on iTunes in more than 40 countries upon its release (including UK, USA, Germany, Spain...). They will release a new single "Want You Back" in February, highly anticipated by fans. In France, the excitement around this new single was reflected on Twitter where the hashtag #5SOS became a Trending Topic. This first track marks the band's desire to change their artistic direction and turn towards pop, like Maroon 5. The band will announce a European tour with a stop in Paris this autumn at the Zenith.
