EZ3kiel was formed in 1993 in La Riche by Yann Nguema, Matthieu Fays, and Florent Duytschaever. The name was inspired by a quote from the film Pulp Fiction, altering 'Ezekiel' to 'EZ3kiel' for domain name uniqueness.
The 2003 album Barb4ry features artists including Angélique Willkie, Angelo Moore from Fishbone, the Belgian quartet DAAU, and Black Sifichi, blending eclectic influences into their dub-electro sound.
