An album that is at once glam, garage, energetic and moving. A perfect Rock & Roll record. In 10 years of career WHITE DENIM has established itself with their mutant and adventurous rock, drawing as much from 50's Rock, as from garage, psychedelic rock, Jazz or soul. They cite both CAPTAIN BEEFHEART and SUNRA.. The Texans pull off the feat of multiplying influences to write their own version of Rock& Roll that would make JACK WHITE or THE BLACK KEYS jealous. Their success in the United States and across the Channel is only fair: KEVIN PARKER of TAME IMPALA is a fan (cf. the Tame Impala live album, Kevin Parker praises the band brilliantly) as much as JACK WHITE who released a live album by the band on his label (THIRD MAN RECORDS) here or FLAMING LIPS who invited them on their tour. FOR THOSE WHO LIKE Father John Misty, Courtney Barnett, Rolling Blackou, Beck, the Stone Roses...
