The first album by the essential 90s band is now available in CD and deluxe CD versions via Sub Pop. Reissued in 2009 to mark its 20th anniversary, Bleach, the first album by NIRVANA, Kurt Kobain’s legendary band, will be available again on September 23. Today, Sub Pop has decided to offer the chance to acquire the deluxe version of this record with a completely unreleased live recording and special artwork. Originally recorded over three sessions with producer Jack Endino, the album was released in June 1989 and sold around 40,000 copies. But it was only after the release of Nevermind in 1991 that the album became popular. It has now sold 1.7 million copies in the United States alone. The Deluxe edition includes the live recording of an entire concert by the band at Pine Street Theatre in Portland, Oregon. It features performances of ‘Love Buzz’, ‘About a Girl’, and ‘Molly’s Lips’, a cover of The Vaselines. The original was remixed by Endino. The album comes with a 48-page booklet for the CD and a 16-page booklet in the LP, including previously unreleased photos of the band revealed in the 2009 edition.
