Simplify: the album title came to me as an obvious choice, at the start of the mixing, as if that verb contained the mission. Simplify: Paul Le Galle, sound engineer, and Alexis Delong, producer, mixer, musician, myself, and that’s all, on this record. Simplify: which means locking myself away, alone, for a few months, and writing songs with the guitars, the basses and the rhythms. Having them all whole, like, before “Boire,” whose anniversary tour was taking place at the same time.
