About
Calogero, French pop-rock essence from Échirolles since 1971.
Calogero Maurici started his musical journey with the band Les Charts before launching a solo career marked by eleven studio albums and several live recordings. His discography on vinyl includes notable albums like "Calogero" (2002), "Liberté Chérie" (2017), and the recent "A.M.O.U.R" (2023), spanning pop and francophone pop genres. His style evolved from synth-driven new wave influences towards a clearer rock sound with guitar and bass prominence, often attributed to his admiration for Paul McCartney. Vinyl collectors find a variety of pressings available, including limited editions, picture discs, and reissues, mostly issued on labels like Barclay and Polydor.
