DEADLETTER: British alternative that hits straight to the heart. DEADLETTER is an alternative band from Yorkshire. The band formed in 2020 around three childhood friends: Zac Lawrence (vocals), Alfie Husband (drums) and George Ullyott (bass). Since then, the lineup has gone through several changes and today appears as a sextet. Inspired notably by LCD Soundsystem, The Stranglers, Captain Beefheart and Can, DEADLETTER is known for its labyrinthine lyrics carried by instrumentation blending alternative rock and indie. In 2024, the band released its debut album, Hysterical Strength, to critical acclaim. NME described it as “dark and menacing, irresistible and fun” in a four-star review. DEADLETTER now returns with its incredible second album, Existence Is Bliss.
