There are albums known as "cult" albums. Records that have transcended music. Records that are listened to from generation to generation, and that are talked about as true gems. With over 500,000 copies sold since its release in 1973, Les Paradis Perdus is one of those. With this album, Christophe created the first concept album in France, distancing himself from French chanson and skillfully embracing progressive pop ("Emporte-Moi"). With lyrics by Jean-Michel Jarre, we also discover in Christophe a composer with rich ideas constantly seeking to find the most accurate sounds and sonic textures. Ahead of his time, some would say.
