Singles Going Steady is a compilation originally released in the United States in September 1979 on I.R.S. Records, intended to introduce the band to the American public. The record quickly transcends its status as a simple compilation to become a significant and major release of the era. These two reissues come shortly after the premature death of Pete Shelley and perfectly illustrate the band's ability to write mini masterpieces of three minutes that would last long after the spark of punk had faded. Two essential albums for fans and newcomers to punk.
