"Rare are the current bands smart enough, imaginative enough, and bold enough to ensure that each new album is nothing like its predecessor. Thank God, then, for the Liars." NME The Liars are back with their most stripped-down and direct project to date. Simply titled "Liars," this fourth opus abandons the thirty-minute sound collages with convoluted titles to make way for the most conventional and powerful songs in their repertoire to date - a pleasantly surprising new turn for this band whose reputation is well established. This album is a clever cocktail between the experimental Liars of the past and those insidiously leaning towards pop today. With "Liars," the band embarks on a return to the future.
