Singles Going Steady is a compilation originally released in the United States, in September 1979 on I.R.S. Records, intended to introduce the group to the American public. The record quickly transcends its status as a simple compilation to become a landmark and major release of the era. These two reissues arrive shortly after the premature death of Pete Shelley and perfectly illustrate the band's ability to write three-minute mini masterpieces that would last long after the spark of punk had faded. Two essential albums for fans and newcomers to punk.
