Hailed by Der Standard as a "worldwide piano revolution," Alexander Malofeev signs with Sony Classical for his debut album entitled Forgotten Melodies. The young pianist explores works by Glinka, Glazunov, Rachmaninoff and Medtner - four Russian composers marked by nostalgia and the theme of exile. Centered around Medtner's Forgotten Melodies and Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Sonata, the album highlights Malofeev's exceptional virtuosity and poetic depth, confirming his place among the most fascinating pianists of his generation.
